United States Kink Crusaders profiles the International Mr. Leather contest, an annual event that started out in a Chicago bar over thirty years ago and now draws thousands of men from around the world to compete for a title and a sash.
As it traces the history of the event, Kink Crusaders also reveals the many ways that the Leather community, once a small, insular niche, has expanded into the mainstream. And it delves into the aspirations of the contestants, past and present, who transform their lives through a competition that celebrates not only the beauty of masculinity, but also upholds the importance of service and community.
