Fun in Boys Shorts

Fun in Boys Shorts, always a highlight of our Festival, is a celebration of the most side-splitting and touching gay men’s comedic shorts. We kick off with Housebroken, the story of hopeless romantic Paul who is apartment hunting and crashes on the couch of the perfect couple, Dean and Danni. They fall into a precarious situation, and Paul's tidy vision of relationships is forever changed. Yeah, Kowlaski! takes us into a day in the life of 13-year-old Gabe, who goes to great lengths to impress his classmate crush. Leo's dreams of being an international superstar are hard-fought while working in a fish cannery in Alaska Is a Drag. Jack, a 14-year-old living in New Jersey circa 1994, hears about a stash of gay porn hidden in a local store dumpster: Jackpot. In the charming Cuki Colorinchi Evolution, a masked crochet artist takes us into the world of his beloved craft. In Spooners, buying a bed can lead to some unexpected consequences. In dik, a six-year-old boy brings home a piece of schoolwork that provokes his parents to question his sexual orientation. We close this year’s program with P.D.A., which centers around an urban gay couple who are disputing their very different views on holding hands in public.
