Founded in 1977, the San Francisco International LGBTQ+ Film Festival, hosted by Frameline, is the longest-running, largest, and most widely recognized queer film exhibition in the world. In June 2026, we celebrated five decades of queer media at Frameline50, welcoming 50,000 attendees and over 600 filmmakers and industry professionals to the Bay Area.

In 2027, join us for Frameline51 — 11 days of film screenings, parties, networking events, and industry panels at venues in San Francisco and Oakland. Be a part of history in the making! Festival dates will be announced in late 2026.
Frameline has been a cornerstone of LGBTQ+ storytelling and community for nearly five decades. As we plan for the next 50 years, visit our Sponsorship page to learn more about our current Festival sponsors and all of our partnership opportunities.

The submission window for the 51st San Francisco International LGBTQ+ Film Festival will open in October 2026.
Frameline, the San Francisco International LGBTQ+ Film Festival, is proud to be a BAFTA Qualifying Festival and an Iris Prize partner festival.
