French Shorts
A series of four queer shorts from France, which includes two César-nominated titles. This program includes two films from Georges Bensoussan: Bel ragazzo (1986) and Winter Is Approaching (L'hiver approche) (1975), Luc Fritsch's Cavale (1987), and Patrick Mimouni's Bertrand Missing (Bertrand disparu) (1986), which won the Audience Award at Frameline12.

Bel ragazzo
A young Italian stops at a filling station on the freeway, and having some time to kill, telephones a friend. He recounts his adventures as a gigolo, but in doing so as a sudden awareness causes him to reconsider certain values that had escaped him, bringing him face-to-face with himself...
Bertrand Missing
Bertrand is a 12-year-old runaway kid who meets Boris, a strange man who saves him from trouble, after he tries to steal something to eat in a supermarket. An odd relationship ensues.
