We're excited to keep you in the loop on all things Frameline (with no spam - ever!)
A free two-hour program of exceptional music videos and films from Britain, all directed (or co-directed) by Derek Jarman, and produced by James Mackay. The program plays free, daily, from 6:00pm at Moby Dick's Bar, 4049 18th Street at Hartford (one block from Castro Street).
The first hour of the show includes Marianne Faithfull, The Smiths, Suede, Patti Smith, Bob Geldof, Easterhouse, and Mighty Lemon Drops. The second part of the show features the U.S. premiere of Projections, created by Jarman to serve as background to the Pet Shop Boys' 1989 tour.
Derek Jarman directs a music video triptych of songs off Marianne Faithfull's iconic album Broken English — featuring "The Ballad of Lucy Jordan," "Witches' Song," and the title track.
Three song clips by The Smiths ("The Queen Is Dead," "There Is a Light that Never Goes Out," and "Panic"), all directed with an artistic and conceptual vision by the late Derek Jarman.
