Huysmans is disenchanted. Huysmans is a cop. In Brussels, a killer sends shockwaves of terror through the community of prostitutes and ransvestites that haunt the city streets. Bo Ancelin is one of them, a young man turned woman infatuated with Handsome Johnny — who responds with humiliating sarcasm. Two strands of the story combine when Bo's friends, one after another, succumb to murder. Bo is suspected of the crimes. In order to clear his name, he conducts his own investigation and discovers that the man of his dreams is no stranger to the affair.
