Caleb and Kyle are thoroughly modern roommates. Hunky Caleb likes the ladies, while music student Kyle digs dudes. Comfy with their identities and each other, neither guy is the sexual success he'd like to be. Recently dumped by his freaky-deaky girlfriend for being too tame in the sack, Caleb is ready to meet someone new, if admittedly for the umpteenth time. Sexually frustrated Kyle knows what he wants: fellow student Mark, the dreamiest guy he's ever seen, but has never dared approach.
Eureka! Recalling that Mark's roommate, Gwen, has a penchant for dating gay guys, Kyle hatches a plot. Caleb will play gay to get close to Gwen, and Kyle will get close to Mark by association. If this set-up puts newly "queer" Caleb in closer proximity to Mark, all the better for Kyle... or so it would seem. Gwen is certainly turned on by "gay" Caleb - but it also turns her on to see him with Mark! The resultant shuffling of assumed and mis placed sexual identities creates a madcap, almost Shakespearean melee in which ground rules, and rules of attraction, are all up for grabs.
Director Q. Allan Brocka shines with his first feature, an eminently satisfying debut. Crackling dialogue, hilarious performances, and plot twists too twisted to divulge (promise!) will leave you laughing... and hot and bothered!
