Everyone thinks they know Simon. His mother, Valerie, has a definitive image of her son: he’s a responsible, prominent doctor in France. Though they’ve had a few rough patches due to his sexuality, when Simon doesn’t check in with her after a week, her motherly instincts kick in and she knows something is wrong.
