Following her luminous film Breakwater (Frameline44), Brazilian director and cinematographer Cris Lyra returns to Up Close & Personal. Based on letters from 20 lesbian and bisexual women written during the pandemic, a single quarantine letter is made up. An interrupted love story, a shattered country, a persistent living body.
