Don’t pretend like you don’t know every single lyric to 4 Non Blondes’ chart-topping anthem, “What’s Up?” We know you do. Grammy-nominated singer/songwriter, musician, and record producer Linda Perry takes center stage in documentarian Don Hardy’s (Citizen Penn) revealing and intimate biographical film. Perhaps best known for being the primary songwriter and lead vocalist of 4 Non Blondes, the San Francisco Bay Area transplant has collaborated with Céline Dion, Pink, Miley Cyrus, Alicia Keys, and many more music icons. However, as Hardy’s film illustrates, Perry is more than just a pioneering musician and gifted artist. An incredibly courageous person, Perry navigates fear, loss, and identity — both personal and artistic — with a raw, beautiful honesty.
Punctuated by interviews with Perry’s friends and collaborators, including Christina Aguilera, Brandi Carlile, and the legendary Dolly Parton, as well as the artist's ex-wife, actor Sara Gilbert (The Conners), Linda Perry: Let It Die Here cements Perry's place as one of pop music's most influential creative forces.
Afterwards, join us at Oasis for a live performance from Perry at our Pride Kickoff party. Tickets for the party can be purchased with the film or separately.
Jumpstart Pride weekend with Linda Perry herself, who will be gracing us with an onstage Q&A at the Herbst Theatre before performing at our official post-screening Pride Kickoff Party at Oasis, starting at 9:00pm.
