Produced for SF queer dance party collective Hard French, this uproarious and surreal short takes us on a trip through the queer underground and perverted subconscious of San Francisco’s id. An ominous viewer channel surfs through an onslaught of trash TV — public access karaoke, pole-dancing instructional videos for your cat, a game of chola croquet, catty fashion critiques for kids. Are the drugs kicking in, or are we traveling deeper and deeper into the abyss?
Director Aron Kantor channels the hilarious camp sensibilities of Tom Rubnitz and enlists some of San Francisco's queer night life elite — including icons Juanita More and Glamamore.
March 6-9, 2025. Curated specifically for the Superfine Art Fair at Fort Mason, this striking collection of shorts takes the drop-in viewer on unpredictable and absurd adventures through a borderless global labyrinth full of music, mystery, and mayhem.
