Legacy Circle

Our Legacy Circle is a special group of donors that have made a lasting commitment to securing Frameline’s future by naming us as a beneficiary and/or including us in their will or estate plan.

By joining the Legacy Circle, you ensure that:

  • poignant and thought-provoking films that document and celebrate LGBTQ+ lives truthfully and with respect will continue to be seen by audiences around the world;
  • filmmakers can create new and compelling stories; and
  • our educational programming continues to reach youth and other vulnerable LGBTQ+ communities.

A planned gift can generate financial benefits for a donor during her, his, or their lifetime as well as provide future benefits to a charitable organization like Frameline. There are many ways to make a planned gift, including naming Frameline as a beneficiary in your will or living trust, retirement plan, IRA or tax-sheltered annuity, living trust, charitable remainder or lead trust, life estate, and/or life insurance. If you have included Frameline in any of these, please let us know so that we can welcome you to the Legacy Circle.

Frameline is pleased to offer special benefits to Legacy Circle members:

  • Recognition of your name along with other Legacy Circle members in Frameline publications (unless you wish to be anonymous)
  • Invitations to special events, including an exclusive Legacy Circle gathering
  • News and announcements throughout the year

There are no dues or fees associated with membership in our Frameline Legacy Circle, and there are no requirements on the size of your gift. Simply confirm your participation by sending us an email or completing the below Confidential form and submit it by mail to:

Our heartfelt thanks for your thoughtful support.

CHARITABLE BEQUESTS

A charitable bequest in your will or living trust is an easy way to make a lasting impact on Frameline’s future, and your gift will strengthen our organization for future generations. There are three types of bequests to consider: specific, residual, or contingent. Specific bequests can articulate a specific sum, a certain number of shares of stock, or a disposition of real property. Residual bequests are often made after making specific bequests to family/relatives, friends, and other charities, and whatever remains after these designations (the residuary) can be given in whole or in percentage to charity or others. A contingent bequest is made on the condition of a certain event that might or might not happen; and because of its specificity, it fails if the condition is not met.
